Scouts
Scouting is for boys and girls aged between 10 1/2 and 14 years.
The cornerstone of the Scout Troop is the "Patrol System". A Scout is first and foremost a member of a Patrol. It is in this Patrol that the majority of the activities take place.
The New Programme has a massive range of activities to take part in and awards to gain.
The range of the programme, available to scouts, is quite wide and is a balance of physical, intellectual, spiritual and social activities. These are lively, challenging and interesting and are designed to impart the skills required for the culmination of the years work, the Summer Camp, which contains activities such as Camping, Hiking, Canoeing, Climbing, Horse Riding, Swimming and usually a trip to the Cinema and a meal out.
We meet on Tuesdays and Fridays at the Scout Hut.
