We officially opened our building with an open day in September 2018, sharing lots of activities, adventures and history of the Scout Group.

Chris Ball, ex-Group Treasurer officially opened the building after many years of supporting us with voluntary work and financial contributions. Our upstairs meeting room was titled 'The Doug Shorter Meeting Room' to thank its namesake for supporting, developing and growing the group during his role as Group Scout Leader and beyond. We also had to opportunity to introduce our local member of parliament, Mr Marcus Jones MP to what 11th Nuneaton (Weddington) Scout Group offers young people in our community.
